Frequently Asked Questioned and Policies
Cricket After School Care is an elementary/middle school age Child-care program. It was conceived from a need for parents to have quality childcare given to their child(ren) while they work.
Cricket ASC operates at 4219 Liberty Hwy. Monday through Friday. Hours of operation are from 2:30 pm until 6:00 pm daily. Summer camp and holiday hours are from 7:30 am until 6:00 pm.
Any child, enrolling in K5 in the fall thru exiting 6th grade may participate.
Cricket ASC is picked up at school by Cricket buses. During Summer Day Camp, the children are dropped off and signed in by the parent/guardian. When the children arrive for ASC/Summer Day Camp, they are greeted at the front desk for check in. Only those authorized, listed on the enrollment form, may sign out your child(ren). Identification will be required for all pick-ups until workers have learned everyone.
Cricket ASC/Summer Day Camp closes daily at 6:00 pm. You will be charged $1.00 per minute that you leave your child(ren) past 6:00 pm. The charges will increase by a $1 per minute each time you are late. More than three late pick-ups may lead to expulsion from the program. Please make sure you have a back-up for pick-ups.
Children who are sick prior to entering Cricket ASC/Summer Day Camp will not be admitted. If your child begins feeling ill, showing signs of sickness or has a temperature above normal, we will notify you immediately and request that you make other arrangements for the care of your child. If you cannot be reached, we will notify the person you have designated as the “emergency contact.” If your child is injured, the staff will assess the injury and make sure the child has the proper care. If the injury is serious, you will be notified immediately, and the staff will seek prompt and appropriate medical treatment as necessary. Medication will not be dispensed by any staff member without a written medication form signed by the parent, guardian, or physician.
Disciplining of children shall be consistent and fair. All rules will be explained and maintained on a regular basis. In the event of disruptive behavior, the child will be given a warning (reminder) and an appropriate time for improvement. Positive reinforcement will be utilized in order to help facilitate appropriate behavior. Parents will be informed of problems the child may be having in the program and will be asked for assistance with a solution. A conference will be held with the parent, child, and director should the problem persist. If disruptive behavior continues, the parent will receive written notice of dismissal of the student from the program. In every situation the staff desires to provide pleasant surroundings for every child in our care.
The Cricket ASC/Summer Day Camp may terminate a child from the program for non-payment of fees, consistent failure to pick up on time, or continued disruptive behavior by the child.

Please let your child know that you are checking to see that they have a sheet from their homework room. This helps us in several ways with attitude and quality of work in the homework room. We take homework very seriously and want to help you and your child be free of homework at home as much as possible. This gives you time to enjoy your kids in a fun activity. Please fill out a homework sheet for your child(ren). Any problems in the homework room, such as accuracy or completion, should be reported to the director.

Buses are on a tight schedule with pick-up, and failure to notify Cricket ASC holds up the entire route and sometimes changes the route schedule. In the event that you may need to withdraw from Cricket, we ask that you provide a 2 week notice in writing. This allows us to notify someone on our waiting list to make arrangements to join us. We think of ourselves as part of the family and would like to have the privilege of saying good-bye.
